Where to Watch Sport in Cardiff

There is nowhere like Cardiff on the day of a international game. You’d be crazy not to go into town at least once to soak up every ounce of atmosphere the city is offering. These places are perfect for game day but also throughout the week when you want to sit, relax, and watch your favourite team. Enjoy.

Principality Stadium

For: live sport

MUB Says

Okay, so this isn’t somewhere you can casually watch a match, but it’s well worth watching something here while you’re in Cardiff. Varsity rugby (when Cardiff hosts) and Judgement Day (a battle of the Welsh rugby teams) are held here. If you can get a ticket to a Six Nations or an Autumn International, that’s a decent match guaranteed. Alternatively, if your budget won’t stretch this far, watch the Cardiff Blues play at Arms Park next door.

Cardiff City Stadium

For: live sport

MUB Says

It might seem like Cardiff only cares about it’s rugby, but that’s not the case. If you’re a football fan, you’ll want to check out the local team’s ground. Most bars and pubs show the Premiership League matches, but if you’re looking for real-life football then head to Cardiff City Stadium. Grangetown is the nearest train station, a four minute journey from Cardiff Central.
