Anything made with chocolate and orange is bound to be a winner. These would be the perfect treat to enjoy post-workout or for breakfast when you’re not in a rush. The batter will keep well in the fridge.

Makes 8 Pancakes

Ingredients
100g Oats Blended or you can use oat or oatmeal flour
1 Scoop Unflavoured Protein
3 egg whites
1.5tsp Baking powder
1.5tsp Bicarbonate of soda
2tbsp raw cacao
Zest of 1 orange
1tbsp coconut sugar
50ml milk of your choice (add a bit at a time as you may need more or less)

Topping
1 bar melted dark chocolate
2tbsp maple syrup
1tsp orange essence
Orange segments

  1. Place the dry ingredients in a bowl with the orange zest
  2. Add the egg whites and mix
  3. Slowly add the milk until a batter has formed
  4. Heat your pan to a medium/high heat and add some coconut oil
  5. Once the oil is melted, add a tablespoon of the batter to your pan and flip once bubbles start to appear on the surface
  6. Whilst you’re doing this, melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water 
  7. Once melted, add the maple syrup and orange essence 
  8. Stack your pancakes and drizzle the melted chocolate mix over them, adding as many orange pieces as you wish
