I know what your thinking! “No one likes motivational quotes! They are as cheesy as hell.”

Yeah, I get that. Some are more cheesy than well… a cheese sandwich. (My cheese metaphors aren’t great, I’m sorry) But hear me out, please. There not all that bad. With the help of Pinterest, I think I have found ten pretty good motivational quotes, which could help you get through uni.

No, I’m not asking you to wake up every morning and start chanting these. But surely there is no harm in setting one of these as your lock screen or saving them to your camera roll, and having a read when you’re feeling deflated.

I understand that motivational quotes are not everyone’s cup of tea, but for some, they can work. If you are feeling pretty stressed, unmotivated or down about uni, these simple quotes can help remind you that actually what you’re getting your knickers in a twist about is not worth it and actually, there are more important things to be worrying about.

Sometimes all we need, is a different perspective, to help us sort what is important from what is not. If you are not feeling the quotes I’ve included in this post, a quick search on Pinterest will find you literally thousands of quotes and maybe you will find one that floats your boat.

“ Keep the faith. The most amazing things in life tend to happen right at the moment when you are about to give up hope. ”

Don’t give up hope just yet. It will and can get better.

“ The biggest mistake you could ever make is being too afraid to make one. ”

Write that essay a bit differently, take a leap of faith with your coursework. You never know it may pay off.

“ You don't want to look back and know you could've done better. ”

These sounds dead preachy, I know! But maybe, they have got a point. That extra time spent studying might be the difference between two grades, who knows?

“ Before something great happens, everything falls apart. ”

Maybe not everything, but it’s something to bear in mind when you are feeling pretty hopeless.

“ If you can't stop thinking about it. Don't stop working for it. ”

If you can’t stop thinking about your dream job at the end of your degree. Use this as your motivation to get through your never ending pile of uni work and stress.

“ Worrying = waste of time. Good and bad things will happen in your life. You just need to keep living and not stress over what you can't control.  ”

This is probably my favourite of all the quotes mentioned in this post. It’s incredibly accurate, but I know, how hard it is to put this into practice.

“ Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway. ”

Uni, education and studying in general, can seem to drag on forever. But don’t let this put you off going for your goal, even if you have to spend, seven years, studying to become a doctor, if it’s your dream, go for it!

“ If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try. ”

We all need to take a leap (or maybe a reluctant shuffle) out of our comfort zones every now and again. Uni is full of new and exciting opportunities. If you want to do something but it scares you, it’s probably best you go for it!

“ Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as being stuck somewhere where you don't belong.  ”

This applies to those stuck at a uni, on a certain course, etc. and aren’t digging it. If your heart is not entirely in something, everything to do with that thing becomes very painful.

“ Never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time. ”

Although it is imperative to not overwork yourself,  if you find yourself only being able to work for five minutes at a time without getting distracted by Instagram Stories; perhaps it’s time to look into how to beat procrastination You know, just a thought?

I hope I’ve left you feeling super motivated and ready to kick ass this term, after reading this.
